The Door Hinge is a traditional Real Ale house, serving the finest ales from the cask at competitive prices. We have an everchanging selection of Real Ales, sourced from around the country and all served, by gravity, direct from the cask.
Located in Welling High Street, The Door Hinge is Greater London's first Micropub, having opened for business on 15th March 2013. The premises was for many years a corn chandlers shop and more recently housed an electrical retailer.
At The Door Hinge we serve a range of Real Ales, Ciders, Wines and a limited selection of spirits which can be consumed in the front bar area, in the smaller room behind, or, if the weather's good, in the rear outside area.
Ales and Ciders are also available for takeaway.
Traditional pub games are available on request, including darts, cribbage, shove ha'penny & table skittles. For those who would like to have a read while enjoying their pint, we have a selection of books available for borrowing.
We also run a weekly meat raffle and a fortnightly quiz – details are always posted on our facebook page, so if you'd like to keep up with what's happening at The Door Hinge, why not follow us on Facebook.
We accept payment by credit and debit card, or cash.

The first micropub in South East London, formerly a electrical wholesalers and a garden centre. Rustic interior, intimate traditional old style pub. Four cask beers on offer served in lined glasses, ensuring a full pint. A good selection of still ciders are available and a small selection of wine and spirits.
Best beer in town. This is my most favouriteist of pubs. Can't beet the bear! Always a good selection and served straight from the barrel. And it's still good. I am always impressed by the beer. Good choices, friendly landlord and pleasant company. They had brilliant quizmaster tonight.
A lovely quiet Real Ale house that does not allow mobile phones or music. The decor is what an Ale house should be, basic, traditional and without the mod cons of normal pubs. There is no shorts eg vodka whiskey etc but there is bottles of prosecco and cider straight from the barrel. The owners are very welcoming and give you a warm, friendly and relaxed atmosphere. Highly recommended.
My first visit. I'd been promising myself that I would visit ever since it opened. That was 5 years ago! Excellent place with a good selection of beers and people. I met a stained glass artist from Woolwich. Can't say fairer than that. Will be visiting again soon.
We have been going to this wonderful real ale pub since Ray opened just over 3 years ago and have to say it's got better and better. His ales are kept superbly and the atmosphere (especially Sunday lunchtimes) is friendly and lively. Highly recommend
