Celebrated my wife’s birthday with 14 family members. Cannot fault the Dog and Duck, the service was exceptional and the food to die for. The staff were all very friendly and attentive and nothing was too much trouble. Thanks to the landlord Adi for a great night.

Amazing pub. I visited the dog and duck on Tuesday the 23rd of January 2024. I walked in and was offered a drinks menu by Jade, I ordered a cool and refreshing glass of Pepsi Max. For food i ordered a Mac 'n' Cheese along with a portion of fries. Both were cooked to perfection by the tremendous chef Shane. It was honestly the best food my palate had tasted since my trip to India back in 2014. The atmosphere was like no other, truly worth every visit, even put £20 in the slots. Thanks to all the staff on shift that night for such an amazing visit.

Went in today for the first time in a couple of years for my partners birthday. The pub was empty apart from another couple having drinks. The young girl behind the bar was lovely serving our drinks and taking our order. We ordered prawn cocktail to start and two sirloin steaks. Had to have rump steak, as there was no sirloin. The prawn cocktail was lovely and tasty, served with bread and butter. We asked for the steaks to be cooked medium.. they were very well done, and horrible! The mushrooms were shrivelled up and the tomato very watery. The chips and peas were warm, but not great. We could see three of the kitchen staff talking just inside the doors. We left quite a bit of food, and left. I wish we had read the reviews before going, but with it always being alright before, we thought it was still OK in there. We certainly won't be going back.

We should have read the other recent reviews before coming here. They are under-staffed and should not be taking food orders without letting customers know how backed up they are. When I asked about our order, I was told "you've only just had your starters" which I thought was quite rude considering that we had already waited 90 minutes for them. Not recommended.

Bought my son here for food and a catchup. A very polite lady took our order and we got our drinks and sat at our table. We waited about 40 mins for our food, even though it wasn’t busy. When the food arrived my chips were cold, but I was starving, the tuna melt baguette was nice though. Now as for my sons? He ordered lunchtime hunter’s chicken. When it came it’s a good job he ordered a side of mushrooms as the chicken was non existent. It does state it’s a half portion of chicken, but the actual chicken breast must have been a little one as he only got 2-3 mouthfuls, in fact, he had to save the chicken till last. His chips were cold too and even though we laughed I gave him half of mine. We we’re going to go to the new inn which I have taken him before where the lite bites aren’t so lite. Wish I had stuck with my first choice. Not the first disappointing meal from here but will definitely be the last
