Built as an inn in c1800, this was originally known as The New Inn. Designed by the earl of Burlington, it was renamed The Devonshire Inn when the earl’s daughter married the Duke of Devonshire

Being creatures of habit we had our usual meal of Chicken Tikka Masala and Fish and Chips . The meals arrived Piping hot and were very tasty . The staff were frindly and efficient . The Pub is divided into several rooms and we were in a small one with about 6 tables .

Standard Wetherspoons...good friendly service and enjoyed the 'Neeps and Tatties' Would certainly visit again....

We had the turkey Christmas Dinner. It was really nice but they could make it look less obvious that mash came out of a bag. There wasn't much space to walk around tables to bar etc. Really too many crammed in.

Well, this was the first time I'd been in a 'spoons' in many years. This one didn't disappoint. It was tea-time so was, shall I say, rather busy. And it wasn't a small venue, There were plenty of rooms to choose from. In fact I got lost finding my friends and our table, twice 🥺 As for the food, it tasted fine. The drinks were too. Service was good. Atmos was noisy, but you could hold a conversation. Overall, I think we would go back 🙂

The food was tasty, we all went for lunch, 6 of us as a family went for lunch yesterday and the food , drink and dessert were all delicious and I was very happy with what I ordered! The building is lovely too.
