Went in for a drink, stood at the bar for 5/6 minutes, no one serving, not a single person acknowledged us so we gave up and left. Felt pretty unfriendly to be honest. Won't be bothering again!
Very hostile atmosphere, on entry it was very clear that the owner didn't like us despite us almost saying nothing. Avoid this place if you have social/general anxiety as we were made to feel extremely uncomfortable.
Has new management again. Great friendly staff and customers. Fun atmosphere, it's back to a mixture of a proper pub with nights of live entertainment. Free jukebox too.
Great friendly pub LGBT + music to suit all. Lovely bar staff , live entertainment, juke box , pool table, two karaoke nights a week, disco Saturdays. Definitely a pub worth calling into. Good selection of drinks available jager bombs and shots are favourites amongst the punters. The atmosphere is electric at times plenty of laughter and extremely welcoming
This evening was my first time in The Swallow, acting as Chauffeur to Marcia Bassey Jones from South Wales. From the word go I was made to feel extremely welcome by both the staff and the regulars. The general feel to the place reminded me of the old Kings Cross in Cardiff, which was a venue that you could easily relax in, or party the night away. I loved the quirky decor, which had something different whichever way you looked. I thoroughly enjoyed there, and the owner, Christian, should be congratulated on providing a unique venue that sadly seems to be disappearing, only replaced by branded mediocrity. A true pleasure to visit, and I hope to be down again in the near future.
