Having lived in Exeter for many years I have only just got round to eating at the Salutation. We had a very very good meal with splendid friendly service recently. We will be back. (Only downside for me was that they only had one bottle of cider, as in physically one bottle rather than one type - maybe up your game a bit on stock taking)
Nice place in the centre of Topsham. We stopped for a cream tea, which was delicious but the scones were very small, particularly given the price. There are better places for a cream tea, but if they can increase the size of the scones a bit then we would be back.
We took out for dinner for 18th birthday. The staff were engaging, and nothing was too much trouble. Food was excellent and the chefs went the extra mile and iced a plate saying happy 18tj birthday. What a lovely evening. Thank you so much ❤
Fantastic stay at The Salutation Inn. Was here two nights. Very easy checking in and out process. Room was big, light, and comfortable. Spotlessly clean. The hotel provide a small kitchen where there is free bread, butter, etc. Toaster, coffee machine, kettle, and fridge. The fridge was particularly useful for storing water as my stay was in the middle of the recent heatwave. Will 100% be returning and would highly recommend.
Absolutely delicious tasting menu, the friendly and professional service was second to none and they even recognised us from our first visit. The restaurant is level access and spacious for wheelchair users, and the table was suited to my physical needs. On street parking is free for blue badge holders but can't guarantee how close it will be. Can't wait to return!
