My husband and I stayed here in December 2023 for a couple nights during our honeymoon trip and it was delightful! The staff was friendly, accommodating, and helpful. The room was spacious, clean, and came with a great view. We had wonderful meals and service at the restaurant including dinner on day 1, dessert on day 2 and breakfast on day 3 before we departed. Would definitely recommend and hope to visit again!
Great location. Friendly staff. Good value for money. Only niggle- our stay included Christmas Day and when the hotel shut around 5pm, there was nowhere for residents to sit other than small bedrooms with only the bed or one small hard chair to sit on which was not very comfortable. Would recommend for any other day of the year!
The atmosphere has a lovely buzz to it. We went for a Sunday roast, and as a family, we can confirm that all 3 meats are equally as delicious. The half a chicken roast is great value for money. The bread and butter platter starter was tasty, but we felt it could have been improved by having the bread served warm and the butter served whipped. We found it quite difficult to spread the cold butter on the cold bread. Other than that, we loved the selection of veg that came with the roast - and we loved that we could order an extra boat of gravy!
We live in Appledore and feel very lucky to have this as our local pub. It is always warm and welcoming with lovely fires in the winter. A great selection of drinks and the food is lovely. The Sunday night pub quiz is a firm favourite for us. A shout out to Ella who served us lunch last week and to Jamie who provided the pints last night at the RNLI quiz. Thank you Seagate for being a fab place.
Went here for Sunday lunch. Really dog friendly throughout, lovely staff, gave us water for the dog and generally fussed him each time they were at the table. Food was great. We were slightly late leaving the table and nobody rushed us. Really great place, thank you all for the great food, atmosphere, and being so accommodating to dogs!
