Fun fact – our restaurant gets its name from the Butterley ironworks, a 12-acre site once owned by the second largest iron producer in the East Midlands!

We took two friends for my wife's birthday for a treat we have been here many times and was expecting a really good time, unfortunately the food for three of the four meals was cool especially the chips and the lasagne, the fish had the skin left on for two of the meals making the enjoyment very poor. Altogether it spoilt the evening and unfortunately the atmosphere was poor due to there being not many in at the time of year. No response from staff when we mentioned the problems, so a really bad experience.
Wow! We came for our daughter’s birthday and Holly K and team was absolutely amazing! They went above and beyond to make her feel special, they bought her out a birthday present, then a free mocktail and it didn’t end there, they even gave her a brownie on a board with happy birthday on it written in chocolate. We was blown away with the kindness. The staff are so polite and the food was just as nice. So thank you to holly & cookhouse staff members. 😊
We stopped here for lunch on the way north, never been before, but the service from the waitress Kazia was superb. We were greeted with a smile, and nothing was too much trouble. The food was great, and we were never rushed. Certainly, I would call in again if we are in the area. Great job.
I attend Butterley Park, most weeks for a working Breakfast, the staff and food are both excellent. Holly in particular goes above and beyond to make us welcome. Would highly recommend
Absolutely amazing all you can eat breakfast. Hot food, continental, cereal, pancakes, muffins and more. With every paying adult you can get 2 kids free. Staff are lovely and met all my needs. Xx
