Called in at opening time after a 14 mile walk had a great 3 pints of Bass Perfect 👌
Popped in for a bag of crisps and half a coke cola. Lovely little quaint pub super dog friendly......top marks 🌟 🤩
A lovely little pub. Largely unaltered over the years. We like it for the excellent television football coverage and the tastey real ale.
Very weird place. We tried to come in around 8:30 after we had dinner down the road as they were supposed to be open till 10. However, when we arrived there were 2 guys smoking at the entrance who threw their cigarettes and ran inside. The bartender immediately drew the curtains and claimed that they were closed. We also stopped by yesterday and my friend jumped out of the car to see what time they were open until. Everyone just stared at her and acted as if they couldn’t understand a word she said. They seem to either be anti tourists or anti foreigners. I highly suggest to avoid this place.
This place is one of the few pub's selling bass at its very best the cellar is very well kept and the bass is turned over very quickly buy the regular customers. They also do a very good pail to match the quality of the bass as well as a good range of spirit's.its well worth a visit as it is situated on the end of one of the most historical street's in England and in easy striking distance of some of England's most important relics of the individual revaluation
