We are a family run village pub serving real ales brewed on site and home cooked food. Dogs are welcome.
Convenient spot for a drink on the walk. Bit of a nightmare for parking if you were to drive up. Nice atmosphere. Not a huge space so it can get quite busy.
Classic country pub run by a lovely couple who have made the effort to keep it authentic. Menu is limited but excellent and original….lovely atmosphere and dogs are allowed in the tap room.
A really enjoyable Sunday Lunch with the best roast potatoes! Brews it's own beers. Lovely fires. Friendly service.
They made room for us on a booked Saturday night and we are so glad! Amazing good, brilliant staff and chef. Can't recommend enough
Visit last night was very quiet with two other couples eating. Not a large menu but a good selection of pub favourites at a reasonable price. We went for a very tasty lambs liver, mustard mash and seasonal veg with gravy. Followed by sticky toffee pudding and homemade Bakewell tart with custard. They also brew their own beer on site and they allowed you to have a taster, settled on two pints of Bircher best. Best to book as during the summer both local pubs are well supported by locals and many tourists. Well recommended.
