John and Yom re-opened the Beehive in 2010 looking to run a family friendly pub with good Thai and English food.
There's three cask bitters, Doom Bar, Timothy Taylors Landlord and a rotating Guest Beer. We are purveyors of over a hundred fine single malt Scotch Whiskies from Highlands, Lowlands, Speyside, Camplebeltown and Islay with a smattering of single malts from the rest of the world. We can cater for parties - birthdays, weddings and funerals and specialise in Thai Buffet. We show all major sports events on glorious Sky HD. From just behind the pub you can walk across the beautiful moors to Kinder, Edale and beyond, making it a great starting point or end to your hike.
Tonight was the first time I've ever been to the Beehive, which us surprising because I've lived I'm Glossop nearly my whole life so far BUT honestly first experiences are always important and I really loved my time tonight at the Beehive! Staff and table service was amazing big thank you to waitress Chelsea and a big thank you to the owner John, the food was amazing!
Lovely family get together - 10 of us. Everyone made welcome. Food was extra special - large portions and very fairly priced. We chose mixture of Sunday Lunches and Thai dishes cooked fresh and hot when served. Sweets were lovely. Thanks to the friendly staff - hope you all have a great Christmas and hope to see you again soon.
Lovely little pub away from the town centre, great selection of drinks, really friendly staff, good atmosphere and the food is exceptionally good, especially the Thai food, will definitely be returning.
We ordered a takeaway and I can honestly say it was the worst Thai meal we have ever had. I’ve never had rice that needed to be sliced was just a solid lump of mush. Pannang curry pale and lacklustre. We have previously eaten at the chieftain and was expecting the same quality but most definitely not. Champ is a amazing chef and is sadly missed 😢
This place has the best food around. Everyone was also so nice and welcoming especially for our party of 4 that are from out of town. If you haven't been here yet you need to go.
