Took my son out for his 18th birthday on Thursday afternoon at 3pm. Walked into MacGregors to be told it was over 25’s only!!?? I understand that on a busy night you might want to manage who you allow in, but on a Thursday afternoon with only 4 customers I’m sure a bit of discretion wouldn’t have been too much to ask?? At least it showed my son what poor customer service looks like, unlike EVERY other bar we visited who couldn’t have been more hospitable and accommodating…
Brilliant pub, very welcoming and always got a good variety of entertainment each week! Atmosphere is always a good vibe and also has a very safe and enjoyable environment to drink in. Every single member of staff are approachable and outgoing from bar staff to door staff. Seen an ad that they had added Cruzcampo to the draught so i had to get a few pints of that vast range of drink on display and very fair prices. Highly recommend.
If I could give this place less stars I would. I am not normally the kind to leave reviews, especially bad ones. However owner and staff were caught fat shaming a friend of mine and after seeing how upset this made them I cannot stay quiet. This is so unprofessional but even more than that just horrible behaviour from other human beings. I would avoid going here unless you want to hear the bar staff judging you.
