Absolutely fantastic place to stay. Service was first class. Everyone was so friendly and helpful. Room was modern and super clean. Breakfast was fit for a king !!! Tucked away in a lovely, quiet location. Would recommend to anyone wanting a quiet get away. We will be popping back for a weekend away. we also met Archie, the original Dapper Spaniel :)
Stayed for 2 nights on a dog friendly stay. First time I have been away since lockdown and honestly couldn’t have stayed in a better place. The owners and all of the staff were amazing. The food exceptional both at breakfast and the evening meals. All cooked fresh to order. Had so much fun and our fur babies have never felt so welcome. Will be back for sure. Thank you Carl and all all for the laughs and the welcome feel staying at The Dapper Spaniel.
A stellar establishment! I had forgotten that yesterday was going to be extremely busy, given Father’s Day - Karl kindly fit my party of five in at short notice. I cannot fault this establishment. The food was superb, the service fantastic and speedy. We loved the diverse nature of the menu and were able to try a number of dishes. Some of us had the Sunday roast and others, dishes from the smoker. Great to see a number of vegetable accompaniments with the roast dinners as well. Nothing was too much trouble for the waitresses and the wine list was extensive, which was great to see. A stellar performance all round - thanks to Karl, Kat and the rest of the team. We will certainly be back!
Went for an early evening dinner to celebrate my birthday. First visit here and found the decor and atmosphere casual, tastefull and spotless. The service and food was excellent and I'm sure that we will return again soon. We both thought the warm cookie dough dessert was the highlight of the evening and worthy of 5 stars on its own. Highly recommended and good value.
Didn't live upto expectations. We had the afternoon tea for 2. The waitress was very pleasant and attended to our needs throughout our visit. The food arrived promptly but that's where the positiveness started to fade. Very very small sandwiches that didn't really taste of anything. The cake was next level bland. £22 per person was definitely not the correct price bracket. Would have been pushing it at £22 for 2. The pub itself was well laid out with a decent size bar carrying a good selection of beverages.
