Dancing Betty in Murton is a modern, family-friendly pub named in honour of Dalton Park’s mining heritage. Cheerful staff, a warm atmosphere, and proper pub food and drink make us the perfect place to meet friends or enjoy some family time. If the sun’s out, eat and drink on the patio. The kids will be super happy when they see the children’s play areas. Our menu is served each day from lunchtime onwards and features all the big pub favourites along with a few mouth-watering surprises. Carvery lovers are in for a treat: we do a cracking roast every day. There’s just as much choice behind the bar. We pre booked a table for 2 as it was Saturday afternoon, so we expected it to be busy. It was. Our table was ready straight away and we were seated We were given the option to order at the bar, or scan the QR code on the table. We ordered online. Very easy to use. Our drinks arrived within a couple of minutes, and the food not long after. The food and service are always excellent and we would highly recommend to anyone to plan a visit to the Dancing Betty!
Came for a visit for mine and my son’s birthday and was quickly greeted by Jamie who went out of his way to make us feel special. Our food was very promptly delivered to our table, hot and delicious. Jamie checked on our table a couple of times to ensure we were happy. Fantastic service, highly recommend and will definitely be back!
Staff were all great attentive and friendly, venue was warm welcoming and clean. We had the Christmas carvery, the meat was moist and delicious there was a good variety of vegetables. Only negatives were stuffing was solid and the sprouts weren’t cooked but that’s me being very picky. Thank you we had a lovely afternoon xx
Lovely Christmassy atmosphere today. Jamie found us a table quickly and staff ensured that food orders for 2 of us were ready at the same time as the other 2 went up for the carvery. Food was gorgeous. Lots of choice of meat and vegetables on the carvery. Desserts lovely too! Very friendly staff, excellent service and delicious food. Perfect.
Having been on our first visit to Dalton Park while on a short break in the North East we saw the Dancing Betty. I checked online and was delighted to see it was dog friendly. I booked a table for 15 minutes later. On arriving, how lovely it was to see dog bowls, water and blankets to place on the seats so that your dog can sit with you while you eat. We have visited many dog friendly establishments but found this one extremely dog friendly, something very important to us. We found the staff very friendly and welcoming, especially the gentleman on the door who found and cleared a suitable table for us. We both had the carvery which was lovely. Thank you for a lovely visit, we will definitely return the next time we are in the area.
