Such a beautiful resort! Had an extremely rare child-free weekend break and stayed here and it was bliss. The rooms were very clean, beautifully decorated- even the basic room which is what we booked. Only thing to comment was there was no hair dryer in our room but I'm sure we could have got one from reception and there were plenty at the pool changing rooms which was the only place I needed one anyway. The staff were friendly, helpful and attentive. We ordered room service the food was fast, hot and delicious. We booked with breakfast which was very reasonable for what we paid and it was a delicious breakfast buffet with plenty of choice. The pool was quiet and warm, we could get extra towels when booking in to use the pool. Great selection of drinks and whiskies on offer. Nothing negative at all to say it was a wonderful stay and we truly enjoyed the experience returning home refreshed and happy. It's worth noting that there were loads of things for children to do we hadn't appreciated how much of a family- friendly resort it would be and will consider this for a family holiday in future too.
Beautiful experience, large rooms with comfy beds,luxury is not just a word in here. Great service with young staff and professionals for all your needs. The food is amazing with unique designs and very good prices in comparison with the place around 30£person for a dinner Free parking and a lot of space available. Swimming pool,gym and all the facilities on site. Beautiful, beautiful experience!!!!
What a lovely hotel and country club. It's so huge, and just 20 minutes drive away from Edinburgh city centre. The huge golf course makes it look so pretty and green. Rooms are very clean and comfy with very comfortable beds. Their leisure activities arw great too, my husband loved their gym and we all liked their pool too. I would have given it a 5 Star but their breakfast wasn't too great and had few options for Vegans and Vegetarians. They did not have anything from the Menu either. Their restaurants also didn't have many options so we had to order a take out. But overall it was a good stay for the price we paid.
We spent our Christmas holidays in this amazing hotel located just a few miles out of the city of Edinburgh. The hotel is stunning. We wanted to stay in a castle and this hotel is exactly that. The scenery is also amazing and the surroundings are very well maintained. The room met our expectations and we were glad that it was hot. The staff members were really friendly, kind and helpful. The food was quute good I just expected more variety especially in the dinner menu. The only negative I could notice was that when we had breakfast at the buffet the glasses for the juices and water were stained. I was trying to find a clean one but I couldn't. Overall our experience was fantastic and I would recommend this hotel to everyone who wants to visit Edinburgh and live the Scottish spirit staying in a castle. We would definitely choose Dalmahoy for a future visit to Edinburgh.
Stayed for 2 nights in December 2023 and everything was incredible, from the moment we pulled into the hotel area the view was stunning and the hotel itself is a beautiful building, staff very immediately friendly and helpful, with everything we needed. We went for a swim straight away and the pool was brilliant and kept very clean the whole time. Location is beautiful no matter what room you’re in, you will have a lovely view of the countryside. 8 minute drive from a park and ride that takes you into the city centre, saves a long drive in and paying for expensive parking in the centre. Everything was perfect and if you’re planning on visiting Edinburgh, would definitely recommend this hotel. 15/10!
