About us

In the county town of Aylesbury, The Dairy Maid has a strict sustainability regime to ensure it is consistently working to reduce its carbon footprint.

Initiatives to be more eco-friendly include insect-friendly plants around the venue to encourage better biodiversity. The pub has also installed a number of upcycled planters rather than buying new to further limit its environmental impact.

Menus are reused to cut down on unnecessary paper waste and the Buckinghamshire pub is home to recycling bins for cardboard, plastic and general waste, alongside a water butt which collects rainwater to water the gardens.

To help save energy, lights are turned off when spaces in the pub aren't in use and solar panels have been installed to help the pub generate its own power and decrease reliance on fossil fuel derived energy.

This family-focused, community pub has great inside and outside seating areas, showing live sports and serving up award-winning Barrel & Stone pizzas, alongside Pieminister Pies - both of which are available throughout the week.

The menu also includes a number of delicious pizzas suitable for vegans and vegetarians. For example, the Garden Club pizza is a vegetarian celebration with tomato sauce, crushed garlic, sweet red onions, soft roasted courgettes, sweet cherry peppers, finished with fresh wild rocket.

The Dairy Maid also has a large private function room with a lovely outside garden area, perfect for large events.

Had the Sunday carvery and it wasn't great!! Only meat on offer was a pile of 'bloody' beef!! Waited a while and some pork arrived. Both meats were very chewy. That was it. Veg, potatoes were mediocre. Only one dessert choice??? Shame, but wouldn't eat there again.

Staff were friendly, but not very attentive. Food fell well below expectation for a sunday carvery, very limited choice. Bland and tasteless is a compliment when the potatoes are covered in so much pepper they are inedible. Gravy was the best part. Only 1 option for dessert - brownie - and it was burnt. Won't be coming back

Place is awful, girls that work there care more about chatting with the dirty guys who smoke weed out the front of the pub then serving guest and never dressed very appropriately. If you’re not a regular you might as well not go in there as they’ll just be rude to you. Only the young man seemed to be doing any work who was the only nice one who’s ever served me, He was running around doing everything whilst the girl he was with was chatting at the table with a group of guys. He looked stressed and asked for help and she brushed him off and didn’t seem bothered. I felt uncomfortable the whole time and the place reeked. Saw staff drinking on shift also. If the landlord is aiming to have a dirty place full of rude people then he’s hit the spot. Possibly the worst worst pub in aylesbury

We had just missed the dinner time but the owner was still kind enough to serve us some yummy pies.. The drinks were reasonably priced and with such happy owners, it's definitely a nice place to chill after a hard day at work.

What can I say! Wish I could give more stars. Since they reopened i have never had a problem with anything and also they let us run bingo on a sunday here in there newly furnished beautiful function room. There roast dinners on a Sunday are amazing and entertainment always brilliant and staff and management can't do enough. Thanks all!
