The building itself and atmosphere is lovely and has great potential however the service is appalling. My partner and I stayed at the lakes 2 nights and chose this place based upon it providing tapas and looking like a nice date night spot. However upon arrival we were greeted by a very miserable female bartender who frankly had dampened the experience entirely. To note, my partner and I both work full time in hospitality so we know the struggles of front of house especially during the quieter season after Christmas. However, her attitude was frankly atrocious and left us feeling rather uncomfortable. The food was okay but rather bland, didn’t seem much value for the £45 we spent on the food alone. To further note, food is paid for before receiving it so not sure how they handle complaints and refund policies. As stated, it has great potential but we won’t be returning sadly

The overall food experience was average, but unfortunately, we encountered an issue with the service. The staff mistakenly provided a tapas item, and when addressing the error, their approach was rather rude. Notably, they went as far as shouting at us to pay for the mistakenly served tapas, which added to the unpleasant encounter. It's crucial to highlight that my friend, who has a cheese allergy, could have faced serious consequences if she had consumed the mistakenly served tapas. We were fortunate that she noticed it in time. Improvements in staff communication, service quality, and professionalism would greatly enhance the overall dining experience. Attention to such details ensures the safety and satisfaction of customers.

Nice place, atmosphere nice , sangria nice however the food is nothing special and the service is poor. We ordered seafood paella and there wasn’t one bit of seafood in it! When we mentioned this to the waiter he shrugged and just said ‘sorry’ and couldn’t have cared less. Wouldn’t bother going again In response to the restaurants comment . There was absolutely no seafood in it at all. Why would I say otherwise ? Please don’t insinuate I am a liar . The responder to this review clearly has the same attitude as the waiter I mentioned this to at the time.

It has a lovely, friendly atmosphere. The menu was amazing. So much to choose from. We chose 7 dishes between two people. Every dish so full of FLAVOUR. Really enjoyed it and will certainly return.

This is a must visit if you’re in Bowness. The staff, the drinks, the food, the vibe; everything is simply on point. We’ve been many times now and will continue to return whenever we can as we simply love it. I’d recommend the chorizo with chick peas and the baked goats cheese - both are delicious!
