Nice and clean restaurant. Very friendly staff. Maybe a bit overpriced on the food though
I can't comment on the accommodation but l can definitely recommend the Sunday carvery. My mother lives in Silloth and has the Sunday carvery every week with a friend and when we visit we always go with them. There's a choice of four meats, Beef, Chicken, Pork and Ham. You also have a choice of the size of your meal normal two slices or large four slices of meat which is cut and plated as to what you want. Accompanying the meat are lovely Yorkshire puddings, stuffing balls, roast potatoes and mash, cauliflower cheese, mashed carrot and swede and cabbage and a selection of gravy and sauces all of which you put on your plate yourself. So if you have a healthy appetite like myself you don't leave wanting more in fact just the opposite. The meal is fantastic value, the staff are friendly and the service great so it's a no brainer really give it a go you won't be disappointed.
Good independent hotel, clean rooms and comfortable bed. Room decor a bit dated but more than adequate. I only stayed for 1 night and didn't spend long in the hotel but Service was professional and breakfast was pretty decent. I would stay again and thanks for having me.
Went as part of a birthday party. Chose gammon. Looked thrown together and no salad garnish or peas to add colour. Just gammon, a few chips, 2 onion rings plus ½ grilled fresh pineapple ring. My choice not to have the egg, but presentation was just bland.
Great hotel if u are playing at Silloth. Slightly understaffed but again Silloth sleepy town so cant really grumble. Food was ok, had a reasonable choice of menu for it being a hotel.Overall satisfied with location and amenities
