As always, a great choice of both craft and cask ale on sale poured expertly by the friendly efficient bar staff. Who’d want to drink at home when you have a local like this even if the toilets are on the top floor. Oh to have a Fell Bar local to Lancaster 🙏🏽
Large group of us had a drink. Staff managed us well as so many of us. The toilets are not suitable for those with mobility problems unless there was one on the ground floor I was unaware of. Soda in bottles therefore smaller than my usual pint! But good atmosphere
Really nice cosy place for a drink, especially if you're into your ales. Visited on a Saturday around 5ish and you could see it'd soon be difficult to get a seat despite having additional room upstairs. Good selection of ales ranging from £4.50 all that way up to £10+ and also had spirit and wine options. The place is dog friendly and the bar staff were very knowledge and helpful. Were even able to provide us with some detail about other places to visit in Penrith. Would definitely recommend it and its ideally situated to go for a takeaway at Just Greek!
Visited this bar twice while in Penrith. Really great alternative to the other pubs in the town. Superb choice of beers including many from the highly rated Fell Brewing Company. Made to feel very welcome.
Huge selection of ales, quite a few ciders and gins. Very dog friendly, seating on two floors , wifi, low level music and a relaxed vibe. Range of ales was substantial from multiple breweres, not just Fell. Strength ranged from 8% 'pinnacle' for £7.35 ( for 2/3 ) or 6.5% 'in depth' £8.20 a pint to a 0.5% pale 'beck' £4.80 a pint plus porters ryes stouts and sours. Not on real ale finder though so you will not find it by looking there. I was lucky enough to walk past by accident. Lovely pub
