About us

The Three Greyhounds Inn,

Great Asby CA16 6EX

In spite of the small size of the village, Great Asby is lucky enough to have retained its pub.

Located in the centre of the village, just across the beck from St Peter’s Church, it is a traditional, unspoilt country pub.

The building dates from 1707 and has been a public house since at least the early 1800’s.

Its beamed ceiling, stone flagged floor, and original iron range fireplace make for a welcoming atmosphere for locals and visitors alike. Indeed we very much welcome visiting cyclists and walkers, with or without their (well behaved) dogs.

As a free house, amongst our full range of drinks, we always have at least one real ale on hand pump, and pride ourselves on maintaining its quality.

A warm welcome awaits from

Dave, Amanda

& all at the Three Greyhounds.

Our second visit this year to this lovely pub while staying close by. Food delicious, service great. Good prices too. Harry 🐶 enjoyed visiting again as well. You’re doing a great job! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Great little pub. Fantastic food and brilliant beers and also super friendly locals and owners. We thoroughly enjoyed an evening meal in here whilst on holiday. The atmosphere is fantastic: very friendly without being overbearing at all - it was great chatting to a number of the locals. Dog friendly as well. Exactly what we look for in a pub and if we're ever back in the area will be returning.

Excellent choice of two cask ales, very well kept. Dog friendly. Very good pub food, we had the special which was the steak ale pie & a chicken burger. Both came with hand cooked chips & fesh veg/salad. Phil & Sam the owners are just wonderful, lovely welcome and excellent service.
