Stayed for a night, perfect location for Ambleside town centre. Staff were very welcoming and attentive to our needs. Rooms for lovely, clean and spacious. Good pub food and breakfast was also lovely. Would recommend and will be back again.
My partner and I had the best experience. We only had drinks on two evenings but found the staff to be absolutely lovely. Special shout outs to Grace, Hayden and Nick. All super friendly and polite, engaged in conversations and made us feel so incredibly welcome. We’ll most definitely be back when we return to the lakes.
Went for an early lunch and the staff allowed us to order from the main menu. Food was nice and our dogs were welcomed. Pudding was the best bit.
We all enjoyed our meals although there were a few issues. There was some confusion when the server misread the order and brought a child's portion. This was quickly resolved. One of our party mentioned that the parsnips were a little chewy. I didn't have parsnips but would've probably enjoyed them anyway. The deserts were excellent. Staff were friendly. Good value.
The food was so bad I don’t even have words. Absolutely everything on my plate was frozen food from the freezer. Had roast potatoes that were still frozen in the middle, as well as parsnips. The turkey was obviously reheated in the microwave as all the edges were crispy and hard! The only thing that was slightly nice was the gravy….
