Went for food on Friday. Service was great. I had the ultimate BBQ platter which was great value at £20. Everywhere was cooked well. My partner had the mixed grill. Staff are always polite and helpful
Our youngest and I decided to head for a boys night out as my wife and daughter were meeting other friends. We were greeted and quickly seated. We were at a table for 5, so amble space. It took a little while for us to get given menus and I ended up having to ask the service staff for a copy. I also asked for kids drawing paper and pens which unfortunately they had none left. After that the service was swift with taking orders and serving food etc. The atmosphere was good and lots of people coming and going, with it being a few days before Christmas this was to be expected. One thing I disliked, was the fact a dish is served sizzling and VERY smokey, not once but about 4 times while we were there, so clearly deliberately. Every time it set off the smoke alarm, which was just turned off. At one occasion the front door had to be jammed open to get rid of the smoke. Maybe a dish to reconsider as many commented on how it was too smokey not happy about the constant smoke alarm going off! Otherwise great and friendly service from the staff, thank you.
Clean , friendly staff spacious building Lots of free parking It has a good sizeable menu with plenty options Good bar lots of lagers, beers spirits Food is hot , fresh , good quality (steaks) quickly served too Only point to raise is building was a little bit cold, to be fair it may have just not heated up when we arrived but it was nearly noon ! Still we shall recommend and return
We have visited here a few times now when in the area. It's a very relaxed, friendly place. The staff make you welcome, nothing too much trouble. We've been on a lunch time and also had an evening visit. Both times had nice service with a smile. We like the spacious feel, with nice surroundings in both modern and traditional style. Clean and well managed. Good varied menu, There's a breakfast menu offering Full English or Scottish breakfasts until 12 Noon. Something for everyone. I had the steak baguette, 😋 wow !! It was a generous size and steak was tender and tasty. My husband had ham n chips with egg, then sticky toffee pudding with custard, only £3.50 extra when main meal ordered. Great offers available, such reasonable prices. 👍 !! Will definitely be calling in here again. xxx
Meal was great, very tasty. Especially mixed grill and rack of ribs. Burgers were grilled to perfection. Great atmosphere in restaurant with plenty of space. Staff very friendly and helpful 👍🏻
