Vicky and the team welcome you the the Crown in Acton, a lovely village just outside the market town of Sudbury in Suffolk.
We aim to serve the best in great beers, wines and spirits alongside our great home cooked food. We are a friendly, traditional village pub welcoming everyone with a pool table, darts and we always welcome our local cricket team!!

Lovely dog friendly village pub with good quality affordable food and great beers, worth a visit.
Having eaten at the Crown several times and always well satisfied unfortunately my latest visit was a disappointment, the welcome was good but then felt rushed to order, food was very good as usual however no sooner finished main meal than orders were needed for pudding which we realised was due to the fact that kitchen staff were wanting to go home, (at no time were we told that the kitchen closed at 8pm) as soon as these were served the staff walked out with their coats🙁 Such a shame as always thought how relaxing it was to eat in this restaurant
After a poor customer service experience elsewhere, we chanced upon The Crown. Made to feel welcome by the lady at the bar the moment we stepped in, the food was incredible - Cajun chicken as good as we’ve ever had - and the customer service from the bar and restaurant was 11/10. We’ll be back regularly.
I was with my motorcycle club, and this was our booked lunch stop, I Didn't order a meal, as I was dining at home later, but I did order a blt, and a bowl of chips, what I didn't realise was that the blt came with a salad and dipping crisps, I was stuffed, the meal was delicious. Thanks to the very attentive staff, all meals were cleared, with empty plates, we will definitely be back. 😊
We had a great wedding party this weekend. The venue has loads of room for your event. The landlords are very helpful & get involved with the event. The interesting thing is catering can be organised but have a fish & chip van that visits the car park.
