Very good at reasonable prices and friendly staff. Not too noisy either.
Living in the USA and visiting the area three or so times a year, I now have a "local". This is a proper English pub. I am told the beer is nice, wish I could drink it but alas no more. The food is wonderful, the staff are lovely and location is perfect being five minutes from the granddaughter.
Had a lovely meal & drinks here on a busy Saturday night. The young woman who served us (Lizzee, I think) went out of her way to find us a table and looked after us magnificently 😀. We all had different meals covering meat, fish, veggie and vegan and all loved oir choices. The only thing that could be improved, in my view, is the Sunday menu.... please put a vegan special on it too, and then it will be perfect!
Went to this pub for the 1st time ever, as staying on local campsite. The young man serving was probably one of the best pub staff, i have ever come across. Polite, well spoken, helpful, very quick service too. A credit to the pub. Food was decent enough, fairly busy but didn’t wait too long. Would definitely recommend going there.
Stayed 2 nights in campervans in car park. Ate the gorgeous pub food both nights and really enjoyed it. Explored stratford only 20 mins walk away or you can catch the river taxi from a nearby campsite. We will be back.
