Slightly long wait from ordering for meals to arrive but food was very good and both members of staff who served us were efficient, polite and courteous. A good value and enjoyable experience so will definitely return. Thank you.
Friendly staff and well cooked and great value food. Menu a bit confusing, it states all steaks come with onion rings, mushrooms etc. Although the gammon STEAK does not! Perhaps the gammon should be advertised under mains and not under grills. A minor point in the whole scheme of things. January 30% off mains offer was very welcome. In all a good experience.
Cannot fault this place, the pub was packed but the service was still top notch - with generous portions, good prices and a great atmosphere. Very dog friendly and the Christmas decorations were lovely! Only feedback on the menu was it was a little restrictive with the sandwiches only served till 3. The team make this pub what it is, and we will certainly be back next time we’re in Shrewsbury!
One of the best pubs for food in Shrewsbury. We visit regularly and would like to particularly praise and thank the management and staff for a wonderful Boxing Day lunch. All 3 courses were spot on and delicious. Service was friendly and efficient. A definite highlight of the festive season. We were so impressed that we intend to book our family lunch on Christmas Day next year.
A very good pub, set by the river, with outside seating by the water, inside is a cosy pub with a large conservatory to the rear. A couple of ales to choose from on the bar.
