Village local opposite the church. Very much a pub of two halves. Popular Public bar with pub games and Sports TV. Lounge is now very Black and White! Watch out for the one way system round the village.
Great welcome. Very friendly land lady Carol. New to the pub but managing to provide a fabulous service and a fabulous rapour with the locals. We'll done Carol, keep up the great work and fingers crossed you get some well needed and deserved help soon. Xxx
We popped in for a Sunday roast and albeit the guys were very busy they were able to accommodate us. We had a lovely meal which was great value for money. Please support this local pub if you can!!!
Great to have the pub back open again and the kitchen is a welcome addition. Friendly atmosphere and staff, good value, tasty and well cooked food, now with a pizza oven!
They're still working on the renovations, but it's clear that Ken and Gosia are trying very hard to make this a genuinely pleasant village pub. And they're succeeding: our light lunch (panini and a pulled pork sandwich) was lovely, and we both like Adnams ('Beer from the coast', what more could one ask?). Still a work in progress but The Crown deserves local support: come and support it!
Popped in on the way through. New management and chef. We settled down and had a nice welcoming chat, perused the menu, perfect sized for the village and decided on pulled pork bun with hand made chips.really nice selection of lager, beer and a very nice wine list. Our daughter had a lovely time with the landlords son and daughter. When we next come here, which we will, i will try the 12oz rump which has just come past our table looking fantastic.
