Whatever the day and whatever the weather you are sure to receive a warm welcome.
WELCOME TO THE CROWN INN
The Crown Inn is a drinker’s pub through and through. Real ale from some of the South West’s best breweries is served straight from the barrel and there are plenty of ciders to choose from too. If you do get peckish at lunchtime, choose from hearty homemade soups, beef casserole and chilli, all served with chunks of deliciously crusty bread.
If you want an oldie worldie country pub this must be it. Out of the way, good food and service.
I'm Italian every time I can't leave Bristol to go home without going to Crown Puds! My fav pub ever!
A good old classic country pub with classic pub food and great portions. You often don’t find ploughman’s on a menu anymore, but they do and they honestly have the best one - great chunky slices of cheese and ham with thick slices of fresh bread. The pub can get busy but when the sun is out there are plenty of spaces outside, even a covered outside space. Dogs are welcomed
I really do love this place. I've been coming here for years on and off, and it's always a pleasure. The look, feel and ambience of The Crown hasn't changed. Its stayed a village hideaway pub and I'm glad about that. On the summer time, the gardens are full of flowers and fresh Mendip Hills air, and in the winter, the open hearth is often burning. Either way, any seaso , this pub really does deliver the scene you want from a village pub. If you spend a little time here, it really is the kind of place where everybody knows your name. The food here is served as a lunchtime menu, but the pub is open all day and snacks are available. Talking of the food.... I have eaten in a lot of places and this place just seems to hit the spot every time. It simply just isn't average pub food. It's gorgeous. Maybe half of it is the way this place makes you feel. It's just so cosy and friendly. The barlady who served me was very ice and knew everything on tap and in the barrel. Very good lnowledge, I was I.pressed. So there you have it in my opinion, a diamond pub in a diary.ond setting.
Found this cottage style pub slightly off the beaten track but so worth a visit. Friday lunchtime so fairly busy. Great menu. Seating indoors and outdoors front and rear of pub. Friendly staff. Great selection of beers and ciders. You could consider the decor to be dated and in need of repair but it goes with the style of pub. There is additional parking in a field opposite. Will be going back soon.
