Rang through to here from our overnight camp just up the road. 8 guys very hungry after a day on the lanes and the staff couldnt do enough for us. We turned up to a reserved table we didnt actually ask for so that was very nice. The staff here are lovely,all smiles and laughs just how a pub should be. The food was fantastic so all credit to the chef and his banging burgers and pizza's. Prices were very reasonable for the food and the beer so you cant go wrong. Highly recommend as the locals are all really nice too.
Really enjoyed the campsite which is accessed by a ford a bit scary in a large motorhome but was no problem. Nice having a pub on site that sells decent pub grub. The surrounding are lovely well worth a visit.
What an amazing place stayed for 2 nights right on a slow flowing river great pub and grounds. The locals and staff are so friendly. The only improvement I'd say the crown needs is a shower room for campers but you can always take a bar of soap in the river. Will defo return 👍
Absolutely outstanding stay! We booked the overnight alpaca stay and was greeted by owner who took us down to meet the alpacas and showed us to our tent! Great location by the river, ideal for swimming if the weather was a bit warmer, loads of woodland to explore and the food in the pub was excellent value for money! Highly recommend!
Can't rate the rooms as I never stayed inside the pub. Historic old pub right on the corner before the bridge in a beautiful, small village. Ground and beer garden located right alongside the river with camping at the rear and an alpaca pen at the end of the camp site. Visited the other day to find new (since I previously stayed) management, who were very friendly and helpful with directions and local information. Interior of pub is classic Welsh...i,e; tiny. But absolutely worthy of a visit and a stay.
