Ouch! We popped in for a drink. £16 for a medium glass of wine and a pint. Afterwards went a few hundred yards away - £11 for the same round. Save your money, people. When you walk into a shop, prices are generally advertised. A pub? Not unless you ask. We probably should have guessed by the one other person in there. Essentially it's a "boutique" hotel and it seems like that is reflected in their prices.
Didn't stay here but had drinks in the bar. Lovely decor and located in a charming sq, from what I can tell the rooms are amazing so definatly want to stay here and try the menu sometime in the future. Staff were very friendly and the town has the most amazing g beach and harbour front.
A nice pub in a nice location within Wells-next-to the Sea. Prices are competitive. A nice well kept pub with friendly staff. A better choice of pub if you have children or you want a quieter place for a drink compared to other pubs just around the green. The pub is clean and well maintain with a feeling of history about it
Fabulous little boutique hotel. Privately owned which means you get the extra little touches. Room amazing, clean, lovely bathroom, friendly and great service. Parking at rear (tight if you have big car!). 10 min walk to harbour, loads of shops along the way. Plenty of dining options. 30-40 min walk to beach... which looked lovely. Separate dog area. WC and Cafe on beach, serves alcohol. Parking jam packed August Bank Hol so recommend you arrive early on sunny days. Back to the hotel... ask for room 23... strongly recommend.
We have just returned home, having spent two nights at the Crown as part of our Golden Wedding Anniversary celebration. We had a simply wonderful time; the staff were friendly, attentive and efficient, the room was very well presented and the food was of the highest quality. Thanks to everyone at the Crown.
