Rural pub, could be a little more welcoming but enjoyed the rest and refreshments after a walk in the afternoon. Also gifts and art work on sale in the snug room. Worth a visit.
Super atmosphere, very friendly. Lovely interesting little village/hamlet. Super camp site and excellent for walking
We staid because it was the perfect location after the first leg of the Nidderdale Way. Loverly friendly landlord and staff. Great selection of food and they even did us a packed lunch for the next day. Nice breakfast and dog friendly with that amazing small village pub friendly atmosphere. Perfect stopover on Nidderdale Way.
I Stayed in the camping field behind the pub when visiting the area, lovely views, basic but perfectly adequate toilet/shower building, nice welcoming pub full of locals, I would return again.
The friendliest pub we’ve been in years staff were welcoming and a delight. The food was good quantity home cooked fare ideal for hungry walkers. They keep the beer in tip top condition we’d recommend to anyone passing to pop in you won’t be disappointed
