Sorry but not impressed. Ordered a fish finger sandwich, and got a slab of fish with slimy skin on it. Prices good, but I would rather pay more and get better food. Staff very willing and helpful.
Visited The Crown today and the service was brilliant! We had a young baby with us and nothing was too much trouble. We were made to feel so welcome, the fire was on and so cozy. Will return again soon :)
Amazing service, wonderful food, portion size is huge. Prices.... we fed 3 adults and a 11 year old with drinks for around £70, which is amazing given the amount of food we received.
A very nice village pub/ restaurant that also has a small shop. The owners are clearly working hard to make this the go-to venue for locals. Excellent ale, and my sausage and onion sandwich was just fine for lunch. Give this place a try if you are in the area.
Myself and my Wife ordered our second takeaway from The Crown @ Shillington this evening my goodness what an enjoyable meal we had! I ordered the whole tail scampi with a fabulous tartare sauce ( unfortunately no photo! ) I ordered the Prime beef burger and what a burger it was! The relish was incredible too by the way! Followed by a Vanilla Cheesecake and I had Sticky Toffee Pudding with custard, oh boy! absolutely incredibly light with a deliciously sweet sauce and lovely creamy custard! The Cheesecake was also a delight with a caramel sauce with fudge pieces ( I can vouch for this because my Wife's eyes were bigger than her tummy! ) So contented, couldn't find fault with any of it!
