We came for the golden years party and it was absolutely brilliant. Good atmosphere and very welcoming. Great service from chantelle

We always come here for food and drinks, as we live nearby, ordered two roast dinners, because we have ordered this before and was lovely, but today it was served in a dish and not on a plate as a Sunday dinner should be served, also had five carrots, bowl full of sprouts that we don't eat, no peas as shown on menu one piece of broccoli was served more for children in a bowl , we use regular and don't expect food like that,

Lovely local pub. This was our first time, and the staff were so friendly. We only went for drinks this time, but the food looked and smelt so good. We will definitely be going back to have a bite to eat. The pub was clean, and plenty of seating was available inside and out. The drinks were well price and great variety to choose from. Sports on TV and the have plenty going on each week. 10/10.

Honestly so disappointed with this visit. We love coming to the crown but unfortunately today's visit just wasn't up to standard. On ordering our food there was a number of items unavailable, which I think is terrible from a kitchen management point a view. It's a Saturday, surely you'd make sure that all items are available for potentially one of the busiest days of your week. We got a starter to share (Bao buns) the bun was cold and chicken was tasteless. Main meals were then served and the starter plate was left on the table. I ordered the Katsu chicken which is usually great but regrettably the chicken was overcooked. The outer coating could have chipped a tooth. Chips were overcooked. (Picture attached) My partner got the Salt beef and cheese burger which he said was lovely. Thank you. Now for the worst part, our son ordered the fish fingers after not being able to have the pizza and I honestly don't know what part of the bottom of the fryer they found these. The chips had no potato left. I've attached a picture to this post because I can't quite believe a chef/cook has let this leave the kitchen. It is their responsibility to ensure that the food leaving the kitchen is fit for consumption. I would honestly be ashamed. No check backs were done at any point, with 3 members of staff and a quiet period. We will return for quiz night but potentially not to eat.
