Reception service was brilliant bar staff average. Food on our visit, again, was average. Didn't see or test the pool area.
Beautiful Hotel! The staff were all so lovely and accommodating. The location is premium and I had a beautiful view of the church. I had the breakfast in the morning and it was delicious! Very filling and good quality.
Aged but adequately clean, this hotel lacks effective heating. However, if your destination is Carlisle Cathedral for a graduation ceremony, this location proves ideal due to its proximity to all related events. Despite its remarkable location, the surrounding buildings obstruct any potential room views from the windows. Please ensure to verify the parking situation with the hotel beforehand, as it can be rather difficult to locate.
STAY AWAY, DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY! Disgraceful, this place is awful. Me and my partner traveled 250 miles for a weekend away, we checked into the hotel late after a good day out. After we struggled to find parking we checked into our room, it was in a separate building altogether! The style was dated and very run down, not to mention the dirt. There were hairs everywhere, on the bed, floor and bathroom. The shower was filthy and the bin had not been changed! The mugs had dirt left inside them and there was dust everywhere. The walls are so thin we could hear everyone around, the room next to us was having a party at midnight with no care for anyone around them! They refused a refund on the spot so we had to drive home at 1am after a long day. This place is the worst I have ever been to and I suggest you think twice before having your trip ruined like I did. I have photos of the room for reference.
Lovely staff and location. The hotel is nice comfy beds, great breakfast. The rooms are adequate but have seen better days needs bringng up to date with either new carpets or a really good shampooing also the chairs. Hope.the owners do modernise the rooms before they start look8 g seedy
