Please m-small-text we are only a small village venue, occasionally we do have functions that interrupt food service, please feel free to give us a ring to check that we have a table available as we would not like you to have a wasted journey.
It is advisable throughout November and December to book a table as we are already fully booked for Christmas meals on certain dates.
Please book early in the week for our Sunday roast as we are often fully booked before Sunday.
Parties of 6 or more people are also advised to book in advance due to our limited space.
Dogs are welcome in the bar area and the beer garden, however, they are not permitted in the dining area during food service.
Real Ales
At busy times we serve up to 6 real ales and we currently have an entry in CAMRA's Good Beer Guide 2019 (2nd year). Our firm favourites are Sharp's Doom Bar, St Austell Tribute and Otter.
Guest ales have included Atlantic, Abingdon Bridge, Hill Climb, Village Idiot, Hobgoblin Ruby, Hobgoblin Gold, Bombardier, Bombardier Pale, 6X, and quite a few others!
Pub Games
We have a dartboard, a pool table, an Aunt Sally pitch, chessboard, cribbage boards, cards and dominoes are also available.
Our ladies darts team along with our pool and cribbage teams play regularly in the leagues and are always looking for new members.
We are currently looking for players to sign up for our Aunt Sally team to play in the league this summer. If you are curious and would like to participate in this regional game please let us know, it doesn't matter if you don't know how it is played training is easy when accompanied by a pint or two and it's a lot of fun!.

Brilliant relaunched pub. No catering yet but they currently invite a different food truck to supply daily. We had great fish and chips. The pub was really busy and staff were still very welcoming. Toilets very clean Dog friendly too
GREAT to have a quality pub in the village again. Been a few times since opening and staff and atmosphere are perfect. Love the idea of different food options through out the week.
It’s great to see a lovely and knowledgable couple run this pub. Super friendly and really will listen to you. The prices are good and they have some excellent food vans throughout the week. Highly recommend
A terrific little pub, tucked away in an unassuming village location. The interior and exterior - newly refurbished - are charming, traditional and very welcoming. Rather than open a permanent kitchen, they have wisely opted for a rolling schedule of food trucks, offering excellent variety and quality. The cask ales are superb. Friendly service. Highly recommended both on a summer's day (awesome beer garden) or a winter's evening (for cosy wood panelled lounge).
They don't do their own food, but have different take away vans at the weekends. This means that there is an interesting variety of food. Very good and interesting beers.
