In 2015 The Cross Inn, in Great Bromley, Essex closed and was put up for sale as a development opportunity. A group of locals didn't want to lose the Cross as thir village pub so set up "Save the Bromley Cross". And amazingly, 18 months later, the pub is ope again under community ownership.
Lovely community pub that has been beautifully refurbished (toilets that would grace a boutique hotel!) Nice beer selection and lovely people. Don't miss the lively open mic night on the second Thursday of the month with some great local musical talent on display.
What a nice find. There today with a group of fellow motorcyclists. Made most welcome. Will be back.
Excellent Local Community Owned Pub. Regular events, live music, quiz nights, racing nights, occasional live sport, etc. No kitchen at the moment but regular food outlets attend setting up in the car park. Reasonable drink pricing and always a warm welcome.
Great friendly community pub that serves a good selection of beer and cider that varies by season. Always made to feel welcome.
