A traditional pub located on the banks of the beautiful River Dee, serving delicious food using local quality ingredients.
Often you can come to our pub on a sunny evening, sit in the conservatory looking up the river, and watch the fishermen in their waders casting flies for salmon. Inside there is a warren of lovely little rooms to dine or drink, many with inviting real fires and at the heart of the pub, a well-stocked bar, serving local ales and a great range of spirits and wines.
Our menus have a spine of modern British cookery and range from hearty dishes to lighter bites. Our chefs change them regularly to reflect the changing seasons, using locally sourced produce wherever possible. Our passion lies in finding quality fresh ingredients and preparing, cooking and presenting them in a modern but unpretentious way. Our menus have a spine of classic British dishes complemented by more exotic influences from other parts of the world. Lovely food in a terrific setting. Plenty of parking available at the time we visited. We were given a friendly welcome and seated quickly on a table with views over the river. Our order was taken after browsing the extensive menus. Food was served quickly and tasted lovely. Overall a great experience. Will definitely return in the summer and take advantage of the outdoor seating area which looked fantastic.
Beautiful location, lovely staff and amazing food. I came here with my husband and two children and we will definitely be back again!! Thankyou to the Martin brothers for providing us with such high quality hospitality.
I arrived solo without booking a table. It wasn't busy so the staff were happy to seat me. The food was excellent. A beautiful spot for summer drinks at the side of the Dee!
Had a nice evening and meal here. It's very pretty outside on the terrace area overlooking the River Dee with the roses and the solar lights. Lots of bird song, including an owl, as it got dark. The staff were all friendly and helpful. The toilets were clean. The food was nice, especially the yummy sticky toffee pudding. Limited car parking for about 10 cars. Free wifi. Will be back.
Great place to meet up with family and friends you can even take your dog. You can eat inside and outside plenty of tables outside great atmosphere music playing in the background. Food is fantastic great tasting food loads of choice something for everyone. Definitely worth a visit. Take the kids in the summer holiday enjoy a drink and a bite to eat while they play. Service is always with a smile and very polite. I would recommend booking as it does get very busy. Great spot over looking the river Dee.
