Had a great family sunday lunch here today. The food was great and the service exceptional. As a party of 8 we were served mains & desserts with no delays by a highly efficient cheerful team. The pub was heaving and there was no sign of panic from the staff and non of the orders went astray. The kitchen looked to have lots of staff and food was flying out. There we plenty of willing hands front of house. Well done everyone. Highly recommended.
Always warm and welcoming. The food is second to none!! Best sticky toffee pudding ever! Highly recommended!
Today had a very disappointing lunch ,yorkie over done , fish had a weird taste as if it was cooked in old oil or fat , the chips were hard to bite into yet chewy as you ate them and had an old fat taste too , mushy peas tasted like bicarbonate as if not rinsed .The Lasagne was dry & stodgy .Went a few weeks ago and all was delicious so you can image out disappointment. The waitress removed the cost of fish & chips which was kind but it spoilt our experience .Could have been a different chef - but not good at all .
First rate piece of fish sadly let down by soggy chips. Shame as the meal deserved 5 stars. Typical British, we don't complain. The chef must of known the Inferior quality
Excellent, the food is fabulous. The signature Yorkshire pudding is so good. You can tell that a place is good when it’s so popular despite being a little off the main track. It was packed all the time we were there and showed no signs of easing up as we moved from Sunday lunch to evening. They are very well organised and kept everything running smoothly. Meals delivered in a timely manner.
