Welcome to the Cricketers Arms website and by its nature WELCOME to the Cricketers Arms public house. This is the Cricketers Arms of Carlton Place, in the centre of Southampton . We are one of the oldest, well established, and completely independent pubs on the south coast.
My name is John Cooney and I am the proud owner and I support a brilliant team. We pride ourselves in providing a warm, cosy ambience and the best standards of customer service.
We also provide a wide range of fine beers including locally provided REAL ALES, fresh home food specialising in succulent STEAKS and home made BURGERs. We are one of the few places where you can enjoy T bone steaks. All our produce is sourced locally.
On Sundays we also serve the finest of roast dinners which have won multiple awards.

We show live sport both inside and a covered outside area, and have LIVE music most Friday’s and Saturday evenings .

Popped in for a quick pint on the way home. Had a good chat with the bar staff and locals. I use the pub probably once a fortnight
This pub is now an amazing place to drink. New Managers and a New Vibe. Well done for turning this place around after such a disastrous ex landlady.
The new owners seem to have turned the place around and made it the place to be in Woolston. Live Music, DJ's, Sky Sports and TNT sports. What more could you ask for. Amazing hospitality from the landlady and landlord and all the bar staff are so friendly. Loved the Meat Draw on Friday afternoon... amazing meat that I won from a local 'proper' butchers. All in all, an amazing place... keep up the good work 👍
The Cricketers Arms is back to being a fantastic Pub again. The new landlords, Sarah and Phil are brilliant! Their team are friendly and professional and now with regular live music on weekends and Open hours as stated - 11 till 11 Monday to Sunday, the pub is rocking once more!
Great pub, The new landlady and landlord Sarah and Phil are doing a great job. Live bands on a weekend, karaoke for those who can't sing. Sky sports is back. Pool and darts teams. It's back to being a great sports pub. Family and dog friendly, as long as they behave.
