The hotel was amazing. It's a clean hotel with amazing food. This is honestly one of the best hotels I have ever been to! You should definitely give this hotel a try! The rooms are as clean as can be. The rooms are also very bright and modern with a variety of objects! If you do come here I can guarantee you will love it. The new owner has taken allot more care into the hotel, so all the bad reviews from more than a month are all from the old owner. Good job I will definitely stay here again soon! đđ
Dated, but clean bedding and towels, wierd atmosphere, bar closed 6pm August Bank Holiday..? No food served Seems deserted
First impressions, very warm welcome and a good location. Rooms are spacious and en-suit with the usual amenities. However, we chose The Cranley as it seemed to offer enough double rooms for our whole party (four couples). When we saw our room, it turned out the bed orientation is ârequestâ rather than actual booking; our âextra long doubleâ request was in fact three single beds when we arrived. This wouldnât have been so bad if there werenât two regular and one low-frame single (and of course the low-frame was the middle of the three). Upon raising this, we were informed that âwe canât guarantee bed requestsâ and that we were "welcome to move the beds around however we likedâ. Fortunately we were part of a group, so were able to enlist the help of some friends to rearrange the room so that my wife and I could âshareâ a bed. Had we known this in advance, we would have booked elsewhere. Breakfast was good, and again the staff somewhat made up for the other shortfalls with attentive and quick service. Overall, it was cheap and we were able to sleep, but it felt the rooms were mis-sold. The atmosphere in the pub was lovely, but itâs unfortunate that you canât book a double bed and actually get a double bed (zip-join mattresses and double bedding is what we were expecting). Lovely owners and staff but if were down this way again weâll stay elsewhere.
Read the reviews, itâs not really a hotel in my opinion more a pub that doesnât serve evening meals or alcohol with some rooms above. The place seems permanently closed and you have to find your own way in. Wonât be booking again.
Disappointed! The formal greeting was lovely, shown to our room, which was nothing great but was clean. Made our way to the bar expecting to have something to eat and a couple drink. Iâm allergic to cheese and there was only pizzaâs available. Decided to go to a restaurant down the road and come back to have a couple night caps. Ask what time does the bar close and was told âwhen I feel like closing itâ. Returned at 8.30pm and the bar was closed. Breakfast was a snack not really a full fry up. Very disappointing, I wouldnât rush back in a hurry or reccomend. There were better b&bâ in the village. Location was good as we did a car experience nearby
