This is my third visit to this hotel in a year. Lovely place. The staff greet you like old friends. Nothing is too much trouble. The food is very good. To walk off the huge meals there is a lovely walk across the road to the River Spey through a woodland. And a gentle stroll into the town reveals interesting Artisan shops and cafes. I have already booked my next visit.
I travel frequently and I rarely write reviews however, on reading some of these I felt it necessary for this hotel. I think what people are missing here is the price, it is a beautiful building and grounds, ok it's next to the main road but it's not exactly the "M1" we are talking about. I have stayed here several times before and I will be staying here again shortly, I have never had a problem with any of the staff, in fact I find them quite friendly and helpful. Having stayed in literally hundreds of Travelodges, Premier inn's, bed and breakfast etc, I can honestly say for the "price" it comes out top's, it is clean, and the reception and lounge areas have a certain ambience, complete with high ceilings, chandeliers, and real fires in the wintertime. I like to take my coffee out side in the garden in the morning's and yes there is the odd car, bus, rolling by but it's not that bad, for the price I just cannot fault it.
Beautiful hotel, well situated. Room was large, a little basic but has everything we could need. Wonderfully comfortable bed and buffet breakfast was worth the money! Pastries were divine! Only note was the shower pressure was a bit rubbish, but the rest more than made up for it!
Lovely Hotel Excellent price Excellent staff, especially restaurant and bar staff. I'm sure Lee was the chap doing breakfast on Thursday 19/10/23. How he is expected to put up with rude comments from guests staying in the hotel is beyond me. These 2 old ladies picked and picked at everything this guy done. Demanding her gluten free toast bread be on her table. He tried explaining it was in the kitchen but she would not let it lie. Good on him for not snapping as I would have ! Excellent customer service. Beds are very comfy and clean We stayed in 208 and it was a good kingsize bed. It is a reasonably priced hotel and I really don't understand people moaning about silly things like windows needing painted. They are old sash windows which have character. I think this hotel is excellent value for money. This is our 2nd stay and won't be our last. Well done team Craiglynne
Stayed at the hotel with tartan travel at weekend. My single room was pleasant and comfortable. Chaos at breakfast buffet. Not enough staff in kitchen or dining room to cope with number of guests. Evening meals small portions. I fell in door way and when asked, receptionist didn’t know if they had accident report book. Thankfully manager did. Would not recommend this hotel
