Hotel is a bit dated but staff are friendly rooms are clean and comfortable No tv but you can make a hot drink in your room. Has a bath and shower combo You can see the sea from the room I was in which was a pleasant surprise. No food in rooms but can eat down stairs or eat out if you wish Parking not so good only a small parking area at the back of the hotel and then road side parking if you are lucky. I would use this hotel again. Breakfast included in the price.
Okay, rooms could do with a lick of paint, but our room clean and extremely comfortable.The hotel its self is beautiful Art Deco building built by the Bateman family (of the magnificent ale fame). The ground floor looks amazing with all its original features. Breakfast is absolutely incredible as much as you like of pretty much what you want. All the staff were totally awesome
If you’re still living in 1980, then this is the place for you. Walls haven’t been painted since the 70s and bathroom still has 80s fittings in. Didn’t want to even wash my hands in their sink, but I had to. Thank god I had my flip flops because I wouldn’t step in that shower barefoot if you paid for me to go Dubai. Genuinely happy to go home. Never again.
Staff friendly...service good,breakfast very good. Rooms extremely dated,was there for two nights,could not bring myself to use the bath or shower because they were so grotty There is a lift but it really is only suitable for staff. There is a massive mobile phone tower on the roof ,which is magically not there in the booking photos. Tiny tv in the room ...chained to the table ,and a remote with no battery cover I was very glad to get home.
Lovely retro hotel needs investment but don't change anything won't be everyone's taste but for a trip down memory lane it's great. Stayed in Aug Mon to Fri Room clean and everything provided that you get in most hotels. Staff are a credit to the hotel. And the breakfast was good and set you up for the day
