The Brew Bar in Durham city centre provides the perfect opportunity to relax and unwind whilst enjoying the city views. Its a great place to enjoy light bites, an afternoon tea treat, classic cocktails and of course, a glass of Champagne.
Plus it’s a great place to start any celebration!.
Went in for lunch today. Waited over 30 minutes for 2 portions of fish and chips even though we we’re practically the only people in for food. When it finally arrived it was barely acceptable as food. Deep fried oven chips and greasy battered fish. The barman who took our order clearly didn’t want to be at work today. However, the gent who bought our food to us was very pleasant.
Recommended! (Some food is even better than some Michelin food I had🤣)Definitely love this one! The food was really good. Steak is cooked perfectly, tender and juicy. We’ve asked it for medium and it was served medium. The cod was also perfect, with a nice fried green crumbs, giveing a nice aroma and tea-like taste. The buttery sauce paired perfectly not only with the cod but also with the potatoes. Btw, greens(for cod) and tomato(for steak) were cooked to a nice condition, juicy and full of flavour. Chocolate fondant was fairly good, not tooooo sweet. The ice cream paired with the fondant really well.
A quiet restaurant with food that is alright. The staff is attentive and polite. However, the serving time for our dessert took a little too long; I wondered if the kitchen had forgotten about the order.
