Always busy typical spoons but a completely different atmosphere on a Wednesday night with a Quiz and bingo theyre not normal but very fun and a good laugh. Staff are always friendly and helpful
It's a great place to meet up with people and have a drink. I tend to just have coffee but in our group at least one person eats and they always seem to enjoy their meal. Staff are friendly and polite and I really like the atmosphere. Although it can be busy, I feel quite relaxed with my group and there is no problems with not being able to hear each other or a lack of space.
This popular Wetherspoons is in a prime position with nearby car park. Busy at all times with locals and visitors. Offering food available throughout the country at reasonable prices in a busy convivial atmosphere.
I love my local Spoons. Shelly, the manager is a hoot and the staff are mainly crazy. It’s the only pub I drink at in Consett. People knock it very unfairly but it is what it is. A big clean pub that serves good beer and food at reasonable prices.
Here from Australia, in the area visiting friends and family, this was my intro to the Wetherspoons franchise. Wow, it's actually quite excellent. Plenty of variety in both food and drinks and the price! You literally can't go wrong here, so much so that we went multiple times! The staff are super friendly and helpful also. Be aware, it gets busy at all times of the day, and that's a good review in itself!
