A bit loud but otherwise lovely experience - thank you, Jamie the cool waitor for the welcoming vibe! The dietary menu hasn't been updated. According to the app there were almost no safe options but the menu in-house was a breeze to order from in comparison :)

I have visited The County Arms on the odd lunchtime on many occasions in the past. This was the first time I had been there for the evening. On this particular occasion, I was visiting with fellow work friends for our Christmas meal and night out. We didn't get any further than the County Arms as we had so much fun! We had reserved our table for 6 before the evening and also pre-ordered our food. This isn't necessary to do but we did so to ensure what we wanted from the xmas menu was available. Our server for the evening was Luchi who ensured we had everything we needed. I chose the steak pie with merlot gravy. It was THE best pie I have ever eaten when out. It was huge, more than enough for 1 and the gravy was amazing. Everyone's meals looked so good that we all enjoyed them quickly. So sorry, no food photos! They were cooked by the chef Chloe. When the DJ arrived, he came over to our table and asked us what sort of music we liked. He said if we had any other requests to let him know. Good food, drinks, and dancing. What more could we want!

Brilliant food and wonderful staff. Welcoming and warm. It is directly between the university campuses so you get a fair amount of students, it's not crazy though and it's still good if you want to pop in for a bite. Family friendly. They also have a lot of activities and events like their quiz night which is always a hoot.
