Unreal food. Definitely coming back to try more. The shakshuka was definitely on par with those in London, the pancakes perfectly light and fluffy and the breakfast bun packed with flavour.
A lovely bar with great cocktails that are reasonably priced! We visited the next day and had breakfast. The gluten free choices for breakfast are exceptional. Staff were really knowledgeable about cross contamination and allergies. Gabby was our server and she was amazing, so kind and friendly- chatting about our day and what we had planned etc. We will definitely come back for breakfast again as the food was amazing, delicious and there was so much of it. The manager brought the gluten free food over first to avoid contamination which was a lovely touch.
We went there for the first time on Sunday for brunch and we were very impressed. The food lives up to the decor which is grand and of a high standard. I got the dirty breakfast butty and my partner got poached eggs and avocado on toast. My 3 year old Daughter got the English breakfast which comes with a carton of juice. Everything was cooked really well and we also enjoyed a cappuccino and freshly squashed orange juice. There’s also a nice seating area on the balcony with views of Durham Cathedral. Service was also excellent, we’ll definitely be back :)
First time trying the Durham branch after trying York a couple of years ago.. The food was absolutely amazing, the staff were friendly, provided recommendations and very attentive but not overbearing.. cannot wait to return
Before giving 5 stars to a restaurant, I think very carefully about whether they deserve it and I’m happy to say that Cosy Club ticks all the boxes! From its vintage decor to the excellent service by the waiter (I forgot his name). The first meal that sent me to heaven & back was the Garlic prawns. I’ve never tasted something so good!!! I also had warm bread, Summer green risotto with chicken (main) & the Pineapple and rosehip punch (drink). Everything tasted very good and my friends and I had a wonderful time here. I’ll definitely be returning.
