Wow a Sunday lunch like your Gran made....absolutely lovely. You can stick your trendy pub Sunday lunches....this wins hands down. Good value proper meat and lots of veg and roastie. Could not attempt the pudding as was to full...but they looked great too.....thanks great food and customer service 😋
Lovely and friendly pub. Food was so good we went back three nights on the trot. Staff was lovely and nothing was too much trouble.

Bude, as usual, was heaving with tourists and all the overpriced coffee shops were filling up. But walk just round the corner from the town centre and there is the Bencoolen inn, unaccountably virtually empty. Plenty of tables outside in the sunshine but we opted to sit inside in the cool. The food was excellent, there was a very good pint of proper job and it was all reasonably priced. The friendly guy behind the bar even put the rest of our daughters (massive) pizza in a takeaway box for her. Excellent pub, we'll be back.
