Set in the picturesque village of Hessenford in a forgotten part of South East Cornwall only 2 miles from Seaton beach, The Copley is a lovely place to visit, with a warm and friendly atmosphere where you can relax and enjoy a drink or a spot of lunch and let the world go by.
We cater for all ages and there is something for everyone. Here at The Copley, we pride ourselves on good food, excellent customer service from our amazing team, not to mention an extensive wine list and traditional real ales from St Austell Brewery and of course we are dog friendly throughout.

Fantastic find! Great service, amazing food and range of drinks. Probably the best (and biggest) fish and chips we’ve had in years. Had mussels to start, again fresh and juicy, in a stunning sauce. Stayed overnight and went back for Sunday lunch which was just lovely. Definitely a firm favourite and will return soon.
Fabulous welcome and even more fabulous food. Evening was mussels and the fish and chips. Superb. Early morning walk down the valley to Seaton with the dogs and back for a three course Sunday lunch, which just great. Thank you! We didn't stay in any of the rooms so can't comment but we were allowed to stay overnight in the carpark in our small motorhome (a large one might not be able to get over the narrow bridge to the carpark - I think ours is 2.25m wide so about 7.3ft). Go, you won't be disappointed. Very dog friendly.
A fabulous find. We had Christmas dinner here today and it was really very good, warm welcome and a comfortable atmosphere. Our food was well timed, courses were not served on top of each other, each meal was really good and tasty, portions were good and it was all served nice and hot. Considering how busy it was (There must have been at least 30 tables of people) and Christmas day everything ran like clockwork, hats off to the team, I imagine everyday service here is excellent, would most definitely recommend and will go again if staying in the area.
Spent a wonderful Sunday afternoon here. Superb roast dinner followed by an afternoon in the bar with great live music and friendly locals. You can’t really ask for more on a wet Sunday. Great staff and food. Will definitely return when back in the area.
We had our Wedding Reception at the Copley Arms. It was exceptional service and they honestly couldn't do enough for us. The food was amazing, all our guests loved it. It was presented beautifully and tasted delicious. If you need somewhere to celebrate a wedding or birthday, I would highly recommend here. Amanda and Shane are absolutely wonderful hosts!
