Booked for Christmas dinner for 3 of us, and it was absolutely amazing. The food was gorgeous, and I would definitely eat there again.

Stopped in for a Sunday lunch with family. Lovely spot right by the country park so you can work up an appetite which you'll need for the roast. Lamb shank was lovely and tender, Yorkshire pudding crisp and fluffy, veg all decent, lashings of gravy. Great stuff. Other meals went down well, gammon and burgers in particular, and all done with top notch service. Will be back.

The website describes this venue as "cosy" but on a Saturday night, "frenetic" would be a better word! However, we managed to find a quiet corner and service both at the bar and to the table was speedy, courteous and efficient. My "steak and ale pie" was frankly delicious: moist with good sized pieces of quality beef, served with gravy, chips ( or mash if preferred) and broccoli (which was better than the photo suggests!) I was asked by the waiting staff (twice) whilst eating if all was satisfactory. Friendly atmosphere, but noisy- but that's Saturday night for you. Would go again ( Seniors reduced price menu also available until 17.00hrs.) Good parking, but lighting from exit at carpark level is poor, with several low-wall/kerb trip hazards. Dedicated motorcycle parking (on a slope but not a camber, so "do-able")

Really enjoyed dinner here with my wife. Staff were really helpful in finding us a great table near the window where we could sit with our dog. Everything was very clean in the restaurant and even in the toilets. Fair price for an excellent meal.

Came for 2 courses. Had the mixed grill which was great value. Only niggle would be I asked for a rare steak and it was medium rare, the gammon was overcooked and the peppercorn sauce was a little overcooked (yet tasted very nice, just abit thick). But Id still give it a solid 8/10 as was tasty - just could've been even better. Desert was nice. Overall was a nice pub and good food. It's very cheap so good value hence id give it max stars in comparison to similar venues (spoons) I recommend and will most definitely be back. Excellent parking Nice venue Awful toilets - very outdated and lets the place down. Staff cheerful & friendly Service was quick Very good selection of drinks & big menu
