Prefect Hotel. This is the third time we've stayed here. Just had a fantastic Christmas break. Chose a room that overlooked Coniston Water. Rooms are cosy with powerful showers. You can walk right to edge of Water. Village is short walk away. Beautiful area to visit. Christmas Break was restful and relaxing. Definitely worth the price
Location is superb, short walk to village and a zillion routes for hikes all around you. Parking is perfect and the grounds are incredible with a lovely walk down to Lake Coniston literally minutes away. Bar is amazing and the food very very good, I went for fish and chips on the Saturday night and they didn't disappoint and the breakfast has a good choice. Staff very friendly and helpful. Cleaniness throughout the hotel and room is pretty impressive. Christmas trimmings are awesome as well. Room was ok (no.35), no view across to the lake or gardens. Didn't have a bath and after a long hike I need a good soak. No fridge to keep my water cold. Limited choice on TV. Impressive, comfortable and the food is amazing. See you again soon. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Lovely meal with very pleasant, helpful staff. I'm Gluten Free and the QR code for menu wasn't up to standard, but staff went out of their way to check the ingredients. Made me feel confident that I was not going to be I'll from food, which meant I could relax and enjoy the meal. We were a party of 9 and were well catered for. One of our party had a chocolate pudding that was not up to standard, we were not charged for it and we were happy with that. These things happen, it's how it's dealt with that matters. I recommend The Coniston Inn. Gorgeous setting and a short stroll from village centre!
Really lovely bar, nice room and fab views over Coniston water. Several of the staff were so helpful and kind. The food in the pub was nice and I worked on my laptop in there, enjoying watching all the dogs. Great walks from close by. My cosy double was very nice - just needed a brighter overhead light.
Outstanding location - on Coniston Water, large grounds with outdoor shelters to sit in and enjoy the sunshine or the evening. Spectacular views of Coniston Old Man and lake. Really good place for dogs, kids and anyone who likes the outdoors. Pub / restaurant are dog friendly. Food is good with a nice range of choices. Staff is friendly and very helpful. Room is spacious and it’s easy to get the dogs out for a walk when needed. Would definitely stay here again.
