Wouldn't accept YoungScot cards and because one of us didn't have their provisional they wouldn't serve any of us. Which is kind of childish if we're being honest. The guy serving didn't say anything to us either, just stood there with his hand on the pump trying to look hard. Wouldn't go there again.
Spent a pleasant couple of hours in Brass Monkey this afternoon. Lovely friendly staff and I enjoyed an amazing bowl of crunchy sweet potato fries with aoli.
We pop in here, about once a month as a family for dinner. The food is basic but usually excellent. The pub is relaxed with good background music and excellent service.
We don't live nearby but would always travel to come to this beaut of a pub. The staff are so friendly, it's spacious, good value (especially the cocktails) and has great food. If you're in Leith I definitely recommend stopping here for a drink and a bite to eat. The nachos are huge and delicious and service is spot on. It has a family and dog friendly vibe and attracts a great mix of locals and visitors.
Large bar /restaurant located just off shore. Decent prices - £5 for pint Leith juice.
