For over ten years this once very popular pub has stood empty, Now it’s back! The lovely old building has been given a much needed make over and a major new contemporary extension built to house a modern & special restaurant… We’ve designed and built a place where you’ll find a wonderful ambience amongst an eclectic combination of original features and modern interpretations. We hope you’ll agree we have transformed this historic and much loved watering hole, into a first class traditional pub with a modern cutting edge.

Went on my birthday on a weekday.Fantastic service as food arrived very shortly after we ordered, which was delicious and hot. Staff was very friendly & accommodating .Will be back in a few weeks to celebrate my Dad's birthday on the weekend.
We stayed in a pod outside, they are a good idea as they have music playing and even a heater if it is cold. The food is of a high quality with good size portions.
Been here twice now and on both occasions the food has been absolutely amazing. The waiters were really friendly on both visits too. The only negative would be how long we were left waiting. We were in a garden pod and there was a considerable wait for our order to be taken, for plates to be cleared and for dessert menus. And this was on both visits… Highly recommend the Sunday lunch!!!
Went here for a Sunday roast for the first time & was extremely impressed. It has a modern look from the outside & an old school rustic feel with a modern twist inside. Great selection of drinks, wines & beers especially & the food menu for Sunday roast was excellent. The surrounding area is lovely with views of Derbyshire, views I can only guess would be spectacular in the summer. We will definitely be back!
Attended a pre booked Christmas meal for 15 people. The 3 course festive meal was excellent value for money at £27 per head. Drinks were good and a great selection of beers were available on tap. Atmosphere and service were excellent. Really enjoyed the experience and would return but a little out of the way. A really enjoyable destination to eat and drink at.
